Female Power is a 6 poster series celebrating the creative energy of women and their transforming power of themselves and of society, through an aesthetic elaboration of their struggles for equality and autonomy.
The work puts female empowerment in the spotlight flooded with vibrant vitality. It combines a format that evokes the posters that have accompanied protest movements since their origins, and aesthetic choices that refer to the 1960s and 1970s, the hippie movement and flower power.

The fusion of these signifiers leads a journey towards a temporal moment in the history of humanity in which women demand the abolition of the practices and customs that promote inequalities both in the domestic and in the labor sphere, in the participation in politics, in artistic expression and in the enjoyment of sexuality.

This visit to the past that the series brings to the present day through the aesthetic experience, juxtaposes moments that occured half a century ago, and raises the question about the extent to which throughout that time we have managed to advance in the satisfaction of such demands.
In keeping with the empowerment it celebrates, the series is the first artwork by Martina Galarza (aka Marte) with the sole intention of capturing and communicating a theme that moves and mobilizes her.

Always dedicated to the promulgation of the arts, until now the author has been working on design applied to music, such as album artworks and concert posters.
